Truly wonderful, we could not believe the value for the money. We got a free drink, ear plugs, a towel, and breakfast. Plus, we had a lovely view of the mountains from our room. Would definitely recommend.

This place is what it is. It’s a convenient, cheap place to stay. My friend and I had a Mountain View twin room. It was basic, warm and comfortable. There was always hot water and it was clean. Breakfast has loads of options. The check in was self check in and out. The bar is great and the food is amazing. This is more of a hostel vibe and a good one at that. We will definitely return

Vert Lodge is a good basic place to stay if you want to ski or snowboard locally. We stayed in an attic room and really enjoyed ourselves as a group of mum friends. Pros Bus stop right outside Basic but clean rooms Good breakfast options Great food in the restaurant Nice evening atmosphere Cons 25 minute walk in to Chamonix Dated/tired rooms and decor is a bit dirty For a group holiday if you don’t mind a bit of rustic charm and a bit of a hike to the town centre vert lodge is a great option.

Honest and balanced review. Stay - 4 nights, 2 people, end of Feb 2026. Pros: - Great bar, atmosphere and food - Friendly team - Short walk or bus to town - Free breakfast (nothing fancy but does the job) - views of Mont Blanc Cons: - Rooms not (exactly) the same as pictured on website BUT for 2 guys who just want to be on the mountain - absolutely fine. Pros absolutely outweigh the cons in my opinion. We had a great stay and managed to get all the snowboarding in we wanted. Easy access to the town via walking or regular bus. The bar was great and food just as good. We decided to avoid all the Chamonix tourist vibes and spend it at Vert Lodge. Yes - the rooms are a little “grubby” but I feel the previous reviews are too harsh. Yes - some “stains” on walls and stuff, but comfortable enough to just get our heads down. If people excepted luxury at that price - then find somewhere else. Everyone really friendly and a mix of residents, seasonaires (young and old) and locals. We went to the Folie Douce one evening and that was HORRIBLE. The worst of Britain tbh. Way better to have something rustic, authentic and feel like you’re in the mountains. If you’re sitting on the fence - I would say come if you are coming with friends, but I wouldn’t come for a luxury break with my wife.
